She has tons of other cute items for sale too. She has lots of items for baby, mom, and home. Haute & Modern has the most awesome fabrics & fonts to choose from. Happenings....

I really thought I was doing good last month 2 posts in a row..wow!! So much for staying caught up after that! A lot has been going on around here!

OK, so back to February.....

February 18th, 2009 was a day I won't soon forget....BAD HAIL STORM!!!! The tornado sirens had been going off all afternoon, which made me a nervous wreck! My dog and son also get nervous b/c they are feeding off me. Late that afternoon the sirens went off, the weatherman said "if you're in our town's area, take shelter now." There was "rotation" spotted on the radar about a mile from us. Then the electricity went off, and the hail came. So, Nathan, Hobbes and myself got in our little 1/2 bathroom downstairs. I had never heard such a LOUD noise hitting our house. I honestly thought when I opened the bathroom door my upstairs was going to be all around me. It sounded that bad and loud. I opened the door and nothing, no noise, no wreckage, no nothing. (in the middle of all of this I called my mom in a panic telling her to pray for us b/c we were in the middle of a tornado, I didn't think this through, I scared her to death!)
I looked outside and there was SO MUCH HAIL, I couldn't believe it! Baseball size hail EVERYWHERE!! It beat our house really badly and our truck, even our mailbox suffered. There was NO tornado, just a really bad hail storm. My neighbors had windows with holes in them. There were even holes in the yard from the hail hitting the ground so hard. We ended up having to get a new roof and new siding. Our air conditioning unit still needs to be repaired, and we still have to get a new mailbox, etc. But thankfully our insurance company was very fast and everything is almost finished now. I never knew so much damage could be caused by hail!

February 22...a great friend of ours came for a visit. We haven't seen her in 2 years!! She was taking a class in Atlanta, so she came and stayed with us for a few days. It was so great catching up with her! She was one of my friends from college and she married one of my husband's best friends from college. She and her family later came back for a visit a couple of weeks later, it was so much fun catching up and letting the kids play together!

February 27th....my birthday rolled around again. We had a fun day! We went to Nathan's Preschool open house, had thai food for lunch, nathan and my hubby bought me a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake, which was delicious, and they also got me a spa gift card, which I can't wait to use!! My good friend Holly wanted to keep Nathan so my husband and I could go out to a nice birthday dinner. We appreciated that sooooo much, thanks again Holly!!!! We went to "The Melting Pot" in Atlanta, and it was fabulous! I love that place! It was an awesome birthday!

I think that caught up February! Next up....March!
