Happy Spring!

Bike Rodeo at Preschool

Strawberry picking!

Callaway Gardens

Our Easter Eggs!

T-ball

Wow...it's been a while! We are lovin' Spring! We've picked strawberries twice already, and will be going again soon so we can pick enough to make our strawberry jam. T-ball is almost over, and we're sad to see it end! It has been so much fun this year! B is coaching Nathan's team, and Nathan loves it. We have recently been to a Dairy Farm and Callaway Gardens with our MOMS Club. The azaleas were beautiful at Callaway!
This time of year gets very hectic with preschool coming to an end, and end of year parties for everything.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there! I hope you have a very nice, relaxing weekend!
The above pictures are some of what we've been up to lately.

Valentine's Surprises

Nathan's valentine's party at his Preschool was delayed due to our snow day, and then winter break followed the snow day. They got to have their valentine's party when they went back to school. And much to Nathan's surprise, his teacher brought a gerbil to class. He was so excited to watch the gerbil! He of course asked for one, and I of course...said no! :-)

Nathan's Pillow Pet didn't arrive in time for Valentine's Day, so we had to think of something else. We decided on a Monster Truck Jam Stunt Course...and of course chocolate candy items that he loves.

I have made it a tradition to have heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes on Valentine's morning. Nathan and my husband both love them. I usually include strawberries as well, but our grocery store was completely OUT of strawberries!!! I was sad to not have our usual chocolate covered strawberries on Valentine's Day, or strawberries for our pancakes. Never fear, I bought them the next week and we had them at a later date.

Our MOMS Club had our Valentine's party at a local country club. The kids exchanged valentines, we ordered lunch, and for dessert we had yummy red velvet cupcakes. (thanks Caren!)

I loved Nathan's Valentine's shirt this year! I ordered it from my friend, Dana, at Haute and Modern Monagramming. He will be wearing this shirt for more than Valentine's Day!
My husband planned a surprise for me for Valentine's this year! He got our babysitter, made reservations at Morton's in Buckhead, and just told me to be ready at 6pm on Saturday night. I had no idea he had a babysitter lined up, or where we were going! It was fabulous! He did great!
He and Nathan also picked out roses for me, and got me a cookie cake and cards. They both made Valentine's Day a wonderful day!

"It's a pillow...

...it's a pet, it's a pillow-pet!" :-)
Nathan has been seeing the commercials on the Sprout channel for Pillow-Pets for a while now. He talks about them all the time, and when the commercial comes on, he calls for us to come see it. A little girl at Chic-fil-a had one with her one day, and he had to see it. Then he talked about it for days after that.
We decided to order him one for Valentine's Day. It came in today, and he went crazy! He was so excited to get his whale pillow-pet!

I thought since he was so excited about it, he might want to take a nap on it today....no such luck!

More Snow!!!

Wow...usually in the South we may get one snowfall per year. But this year we've already had two snowfalls!! This last snow was enough to make a pretty big snowman...I mean snow"woman". Nathan said our snowman was actually a woman named "Dorothy". So we'll go with it.
Schools were cancelled, so he missed his Valentine's party at Preschool. But maybe when they go back, they can have it. We went to a Birthday party for one of his friends Friday morning before the snow came. The party was supposed to be in the afternoon, after school. But since school was cancelled, and the threat of snow was approaching, they went ahead with the party that morning. The boys had a blast playing together on their "snow day"!
Once we made it back home, the snow came. It was beautiful! "B" came home early from work. We had a big snowball fight, made snow angels, and made a snow"woman".
Staying true to the South, the sun came out the next day, the temperature went up, and the snow melted...so did "Dorothy".

"Flat Stanley" visits!

My cousin, Shelly, is a teacher in Alabama. Her classroom is doing the "Flat Stanley" project. There was a little girl in her classroom who didn't have anyone out of state she could send her "Flat Stanley" to. So, Shelly sent him to us! We have had a great time entertaining "Flat Stanley". We took him downtown one day and let him visit Turner Field, the Aquarium, the Coca-Cola museum, The Varsity, etc. We are updating his journal and we'll be sending him back off to Alabama this week. Thanks Shelly, for letting us entertain him for while! We are happy your classroom gets to learn about some things in Georgia.

I Needed a Makeover...

...for my blog! Who am I kidding, I need one for myself too...but we'll save that for another day! :-) I love all the cute blogs out there, so I decided it was time to update mine! I asked Rachel from "Uniquely Yours by Rachel" to give my blog a makeover. She is awesome! I simply picked out some "paper" (not sure you call it "paper"??), from samples she sent me. And then sent her some pictures and a verse, and she worked her magic! I am so happy with the way it turned out.

If you are looking to makeover your blog, contact Rachel...she's great!

Fun Times

3 great friends since they were 6 months old!

wearing his cute shirt my friend Dana made from "Haute and Modern"

PJ day at school!

Last week was a fun week. I mean what could be more fun than "pajama day" at school?? It was complete with a movie, hot chocolate with "real" marshmallows, and popcorn! I've never seen a little guy more excited to wear his pajamas to school. He couldn't wait to get up and pick out new pajamas to wear that day. (little did he know I already had them picked out and sitting on top in his pajama drawer so he would pick the right ones!)
Later in the week we went to a local Fire Station with our MOMS Club for a tour of the station and playtime on the trucks. The kids had a blast!
We received a "Flat Stanley" in the mail last week from my cousin, who is a teacher. She wanted us to take him on some adventures in Georgia. We had a fun weekend with "Flat Stanley". Pictures will soon follow!
